Younger Optics has the largest range of bifocal lenses on the market, meaning almost any need can be met with satisfaction.
Speciality Bifocal.
Younger Optics began when Irving Rips wanted to develop an invisible line bifocal that would not give away the wearer’s age. This was how the world’s first ‘seamless bifocal’ was created in Irving’s home garage in Los Angles and how Younger Optics started. The company’s name was a reference to how the new lens made the wearer look younger.
Fast forward over 60 years and Younger Optics continues to innovate and craft inventive solutions for both common and uncommon visual needs, which includes a focus on speciality lenses.
In addition to the largest bifocal range, Younger Optics also has one of the largest trifocal ranges available.
Bifocal flat top 28mm and 35mm
Addition up to +8.00 in the segment
Progressive lenses often limit the field of vision and don’t come in high additions, so can be of limited value to lower vision glasses wearers. With additions of up to +8.00 in the segment, lower vision wearers can enjoy reading like never before in liberating lenses! The bifocal flat top 28mm and 35mm in additions of up to +8.00 are available in clear, with the flat top 28mm also available in Transitions Signature. The image illustrates the flat top 35mm lens.
Bifocal flat top 45mm
The flat top 45mm provides the largest reading area. It is similar to the old executive style lenses of yesteryear, but is significantly superior from both an optical and cosmetic perspective. Perfect for wearers needing a wider reading area. Available in clear and Transitions Signature.
DD occupational trifocal
Perfect for presbyopic wearers that need to look both up and down when performing a task. The flat top 28 lens features a D shaped bifocal segment at the bottom of the lens and an upside-down D segment at the top of the lens. The bottom of the lens is for near vision, with the top of the lens for near or intermediate vision. The remainder of the lens surface provides correction for distance vision. Professions to benefit from the lens are mechanics, pilots, professional painters, carpenters, clerks and librarians – to just name a few!
Polycarbonate Composite bifocal and trifocal
A unique polycarbonate composite lens in bifocal or trifocal that incorporates a thin photochromic front surface layer made of Trilogy (Trivex) material. The lenses are ideal for safety, along with three piece rimless and nylon frames.
The range includes:
- Flat top 28 bifocal
- Flat top 35 bifocal
- Flat top 7 x 28 trifocal
